Pet Care Series – Breed Related Health Issues
Do you have a fur baby in your life? Then this class is for you! Please join Mary Gentle for practical information about your sweet pet. Mary has enthusiasm for and a lifetime of experience in animal health care. She will teach cat and dog owners valuable tools in keeping their pets healthy.
Each Monday for five weeks, Mary will cover a different aspect of pet care. Classes may be signed up for on an individual basis.
This week’s topic is: Breed Related Health Issues.
Pets come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and temperaments, and this diversity has been achieved through selective breeding. However, this practice occasionally yields undesirable results, including a higher incidence of certain hereditary defects, deformities, or infirmities within a given breed. Mary discusses some of these health issues which all pet owners will find informative.
Classes will be in the Lobby at the Community Center. Do you share pet care with your older children? Please bring them along.
